This Animal Management extended Foundation Degree includes an introductory year (Level 3) and is for students without A levels, those who want to return to education after a period of employment, after a career break or to make a career change.
The aim of the first year of the course is to enable you to develop strong generic academic and vocational skills which will prepare you for more specialist animal management studies in the later years of your course which follows the Foundation Degree programme.
This Animal Management introductory year can be studied on a full-time or a part-time basis. You will then progress to the subsequent years of the Foundation Degree course.
The foundation degree course covers the skills and knowledge that can be applied in a range of animal management based industries, particularly in the areas of conservation, health and science. There is an emphasis on project work that concentrates on specific areas of individual interest.

Students wishing to study Animal Management extended Foundation Degree must meet the following entry requirements:
- evidence of previous studyat GCSE level or equivalent is required,
- references and subject to interview.
