Earn a PhD in the Czech Republic
The Doctoral Study Programme at the Faculty of Veterinary Hygiene and Ecology - Brno in the Czech Republic is taught through a combination of lectures, practical exercises, seminars and consultations, culminating in a period of research work and final thesis.
Brno's 4-year Doctoral Study Programme places special emphasis on preparation students for creative scientific work. There are several fields of study for students to select from within this Doctoral Study Programme:

- Nutrition and Dietetics of Farm Animals and Hygiene of Food of Plant Origin

- Veterinary Public Health and Animal Protection
Grading of the Doctoral Study Programme is in the form of ongoing assessment, examination, and by a written thesis.
Having successfully passed the state doctor’s examination and defence of doctor's thesis, students graduate from the doctor's study. Graduates then have the necessary skills for employment in the fields of research, teaching, veterinary medicine, human medicine, pharmaceuticals, animal feed, food processing, the environment, agriculture, and other related biological sciences.
The Doctoral Study Programme is open to graduates from the Faculty of Veterinary Hygiene and Ecology master’s degree programme that can demonstrate appropriate eligibility, in particular by results of the entry examination, which consists of an interview with the panel in charge of admission for the study.
The panel will examine professional skills of the applicant, as well as suitability of his/her profile for scientific research and individual work in the field of research and development.
