Catholic University of America

Catholic University offers the resources of a major research university and the comfortable feel of a liberal arts college with more than 2,800 graduate students and 3,200 undergraduates. Here you will study with men and women who are at the forefront of their fields.

The Catholic University of America is a community of scholars, both faculty and students, set apart to discover and preserve knowledge, with particular reference to the needs and opportunites of the nation.

The University Honors Program provides special intellectual challenges for undergraduates with motivation and outstanding academic promise. The program hones skills in critical thinking and supplies a solid foundation in the classical liberal arts. The core of the program is interdisciplinary. It provides an integrated world view based on the interrelation among the disciplines of knowledge. It also stresses the traditional values of our Christian heritage.

The Library, as an integral component of the academic process, provides access to our cultural and scientific heritage through library resources and services and cooperates actively with the faculty and students in the teaching, learning and research process. In recognition of the University's position as a Catholic institution of higher education, the Library also has the responsibility for sharing resources and services with both the Catholic Church and the scholarly community.

The Education Abroad Office (CUAbroad) at the Catholic University of America (CUA) works with the various academic schools and departments campus-wide to provide a wide array of education abroad opportunities for both CUA and non-CUA students. CUAbroad offers short-term, semester/year long, honors study abroad, international internships and intensive language programs. CUAbroad also provides specialized services to CUA students such as education abroad advising, an education abroad resource library, the issuance of the International Student ID card, and travel insurance information.
