FUBiS Term II
Term II at Freie Universität Berlin International Summer and Winter University FUBiS offers students an intensive academic short-term program in the early summer. This education program presents the opportunity for students to both improve their knowledge of the German language and study various subject courses in Berlin. Term II lasts for 6 weeks, and takes place from May through July.
Term II courses include:
-five different levels of proficiency in addition to Business German;
-various subject topics such as:
- Creating a Solo Performance: Berlin Cabaret;
- Exploring Contemporary Germany and Berlin;
- Deutsche Exilliteratur; and
- Global Ecological Governance
to name a few. Classes are held in either English or German. The Term II education program includes students' participation in field trips to museums, memorials, and cultural and political institutions that exist in Berlin, and are integral components of all classes.
Students must be at least 18 years of age and should have completed at least one year of higher education (college or university) at the beginning of the FUBiS program. However, registrants to the FUBiS program do not have to be enrolled in any program at the point of their registration. FUBiS also accepts registrations by adult learners and professionals. Please note that credits can only be awarded if students are currently / have been enrolled at a university.
Degree & diploma
Depending on the course(s) a student studies within Term II, they may receive between 4 and 9 European Credit Transfer System credits of Freie Universität Berlin per FUBiS education course.
