A one-of-a-kind business degree in the Netherlands
The International Business Innovation Studies (IBIS) program at Inholland University of Applied Sciences is a 4-year bachelor degree taught in English. This bachelor in business innovation is unique in that it combines hands-on teaching and practical experience with exciting and relevant subjects areas that are designed to provide students with the skills that are in demand in virtually any organisation around the world.
Students of the IBIS bachelor programme will experience real-life situations in a professional context, facing complex problems and questions, whilst meeting realistic deadlines.
As part of a diverse and international group of students, you will tackle exciting projects like conceptualising prototypes, planning the production and marketing campaigns for a new innovative product or idea, or developing an internationalisation strategy for a company on the rise.
Throughout this revolutionary innovation focused business degree program you’ll receive expert guidance and support for both your studies and your career, building a strong professional and personal network with peers and experts from around the world.
Year 3 and 4 will include job placements in companies in a wide range of industries, giving you the valuable professional experience needed to get your career off the ground.
The admission requirements for the International Business Innovation Studies bachelor programme at Inholland are set by Dutch education law. Only applicants who meet these requirements will be admitted to the programme.
Applicants need to have:
- vwo, havo, mbo4 or equivalent foreign diploma, propaedeutic certificate, associate degree certificate, bachelor degree, foreign degree or diploma that provides entry to higher education in country of origin
- English proficiency IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL iBt 80 / Cambridge Advanced A, B or C or comparable (certificate not older than 2 years) for students with a foreign diploma from a country where English is not the native language
- A passing grade for English on the final exam vwo, havo or the mbo4 intake test English for Dutch students.
If your previous education is not on the required minimum level and you are over 21, there is an option to do a 21+ exam. The test takes two and a half hours and includes the following:
- Use of English (which includes grammar)
- Competence in Economics and Math
This 21+ exam will replace the required minimum educational level if passed. The 21+ exam does not replace the English proficiency requirements: all 21+ candidates are required to submit a TOEFL / IELTS / Cambridge certificate separately as part of the admissions procedure.

Degree & diploma
Upon completion of the programme graduates will receive a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
Tuition & fees
The tuition fee for this bachelor in business innovation is as follows:
Students who meet the conditions for statutory tuition fees: € 1,835
Students who do not meet the requirements for statutory tuition fees will need to pay institutional tuition fees of € 7,360.
There are a limited number of grants and scholarships available for both EU and non-EU students.
