Students have the opportunity to combine any two of ICMS’s degrees to make a double degree. ICMS’s double degree combinations are flexible; the way students are able to combine they can be accommodated to the student’s interests, abilities and career aspirations. The choice to study a double degree can be made as late as the final trimester of the first degree.
Students are able to choose between a wide range of Double Degree options, including:
- To complete a second specialisation
Students are able to combine their degree in hospitality with a second degree in sports, events, international tourism, and property or retail management.
- To complete a business management degree on top of a specialisation
Students can combine their degree in events, hospitality, property, international tourism, retail, property or sport management with a more general degree in business management.
- To complete another specialisation or a Bachelor of Business Management on top of a Macquarie BBA
Students have the option to complete a Macquarie BBA with a specialisation in international tourism and then complete a second specialisation in hospitality, events, sport, retail property or business management.
- To get a more general business degree and then a specialist degree
While completing a ICMS BBM, a student might have sampled some property management subjects, decided on property as their future career path, and complete their degree in property management after completing their BBM.
A double degree from ICMS can both expand students’ career options and give them more qualifications to take them down a particular career path. A student with a first degree in event management but their area of interest is in organising sporting events, a double degree combining event management with sport management will help the student move down that particular career path.
