BA Arts, Media and Society - Leiden University
Through this program by Leiden University, students will obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Arts, Media and Society. The program is taught entirely in English and is a full-time course (with students studying for 40 hours a week).
During the first year, students will develop their fundamental knowledge in the area of art history, while the second and third years will focus on cutting-edge developments within the field of contemporary art and media, exploring global issues, social media, and ways art and media are used within activist strategies to bring about change in society.
This program is highly suitable for those interested in issues such as:
- How contemporary artists approach societal challenges
- How digital media influences artistic practice
- Why the voices of artists are relevant for a democratic society
