The bachelor in food science and technology offers you the opportunity to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of future generations.
Graduates of the food science courses are trained to be critical thinkers. They are in high demand in food industries due to their scientific understanding of the technical aspects of food, beginning with harvesting and preparation and ending with consumption.
The food science and technology courses focus firstly on helping you develop a greater understanding of the fate of agricultural raw materials, and secondly on the technology of food such as preservation, processing, packaging and distribution to ensure that food is safe, nutritious and wholesome.

This program takes three years of full-time study to complete.
A passing grade in either Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics (Australian Year 12 equivalent) as well as English (Monash’s English language requirements apply).
