BA in Graphic Design and Art Direction
The three-year BA program in Graphic Design & Art Direction trains students to become professionals in the world of graphics and advertising.
The Program is set to meet the growing demand for professionals who can think strategically, using all the the techniques, from the traditional ones to the more innovative, such as motion graphic or interactive design. Starting from the research and analysis of the language of the contemporary visual culture, the BA in Graphic Design & Art Direction progressively transmits to students all the technical, conceptual and cultural background necessary to address his talent as a graphic designer, layout artist, illustrator, web designer or art director to a professional communicator able to achieve the communication targets.
This program encourages students to develop an integrated set of methodological, technical and cultural skills that will enable them to face graphic and advertising design projects with different targets in a progressively integrated media context.
At the end of the BA, students will be sufficiently autonomous and have the necessary skills to embark on careers in various areas of communication: corporate, advertising and social media strategy. Analytical skills and methods, technical expertise and creative qualities help them become sensitive to and ready to perceive trends and to respond to new market demands. The three-year BA in Graphic Design and Art Direction is: a complete and ambitious path: graphics + digital media + advertising, a program of interdisciplinary studies as required by today's market, a path based on a tested and reliable method, culturally up to date and a synthesis of business strategy and creativity.
According to the Italian Ministry of Education, students who wish to enter an Italian University for Bachelor degree studies must meet the following requirements:
- A secondary school diploma that is validated by the Italian diplomatic authority in the students’ home country and that is recognized as equivalent to the Italian Secondary school diploma (having followed a period of study lasting at least 12 years)
- Must pass an admission exam
- Must demonstrate proficiency in the English Language and/or Italian
- Compliance with the pre-enrolment procedures to submit to the relevant Italian Diplomatic Authorities the documents foreseen by the law regulating EU and NON EU citizens’ access to Italian universities.
