At the Paris College of Art, students are trained to work as Design Managers in a wide variety of fields, depending on their ultimate career interests, with an understanding of design as a strategic, competitive asset alongside traditional business knowledge and skills.
At the completion of this bachelor of art in design management, graduates will have acquired design and management skills that enable them to identify and manage design that is functional, ergonomic, aesthetic, sustainable, critical and innovative in a variety of creative fields.
The multidisciplinary nature of the Design Management curriculum, with studio courses complementing and enlarging the knowledge and skills’ base proper to a traditional business education, provides students with a comprehensive overview of business practices while simultaneously providing a specialization in the creative industries. Students learn to recognize and assess the value of art & design in business contexts both directly through studio courses and indirectly via design management projects.
Throughout the program students learn to identify, assess and develop pertinent design concepts while simultaneously acquiring essential skills in marketing, project management, leadership and team building, strategy, international business and ethics – to name just a few of the core management courses they will be required to attend.
