Master's Degree in Mathematical EngineeringPolitecnico di Milano
Master's Degree in Mathematical Engineering
Through this two-year program, students will gain a solid background in basic science and engineering disciplines, in addition to a wide knowledge of modern mathematical methods and techniques.
Students acquire skills in the modeling and analysis of complex systems needed to solve design and management problems, and more general real-world problems that they will face in various scientific, economic and/or technological contexts of their professional activity.
After graduation, jobs may be found in R&D divisions in manufacturing or engineering companies that deal with complex computational problems, or that need advanced mathematical tools; in banks, insurance companies, and financial institutions making use of quantitative finance for risk analysis or forecast; in companies that require statistical interpretation and processing of complex data, or scenario simulation; and in public and private research institutes and laboratories.
The program is taught in English.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor degree in Mathematical Engineering, or in a related area, with a solid background in the core disciplines of the program - applied mathematics, computer science, physics, and engineering disciplines.
