Master's Degree in Nuclear Engineering
Taught in English, this intensive two-year master's program in nuclear engineering covers the following important topics:
- Fission and fusion plants
- Nuclear fuel
- Nuclear materials
- Medical and industrial applications of nuclear radiations
- Radiation detection and measurements
- Nuclear electronics for radiation detection
- Radiation protection
- Physics of matter
- Plasma physics
Graduates in Nuclear Engineering may pursue careers not only in nuclear sectors, but also in the energy industry; medical sector; health, safety and environment (e.g. engineering companies, hospitals, consultancy and risk analysis firms); and research centers and universities.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in: Energy Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mathematical Engineering, Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or Bio-Engineering, with 15 ECTS of basic nuclear education.
Basic preparation in the main disciplines of Industrial Engineering is also required.
