Color Science PhD - Rochester Institute of Technology
Through this PhD, students will gain a multidisciplinary education, exploring physics, chemistry, physiology, statistics, computer science, neuroscience and psychology and their relationship to our perception of color. Students will look at how color is used in a vast number of fields from medical data visualization to computer graphics, color printing to motion picture.
Students will take a combination of required and elective courses depending on their area of interest. They will also submit a research project and a research dissertation within their second year of study.

In order to apply for this program, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a bachelor degree from an accredited university*
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Submit the following:
- Scores from Graduate Record Examination
- Official transcripts of previously complted undergraduate and graduate course work
- Two letters of recommendation
- Personal statement of educational objectives
- A current resume or curriculum vitae
- Participate in an on-campus interview
- Complete a graduate application

*Candidates who wish to enter the program, but lack adequate preparation, might be required to complete undergraduate foundation courses in mathematics, statistics, computer science, and general science before matriculating with graduate status.
