Description of Mathematical Modeling PhD
Mathematical Modeling PhD - Rochester Institute of Technology
Through this PhD program, students will become advanced-level scholars and researchers in the area of mathematical modeling and its application within real-world systems. Students will explore the investigation, analysis and prediction of behavioural systems in a variety of areas in order to solve complex interdisciplinary problems.
To be considered for admission to the Ph.D. program in mathematical modeling, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
- Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited university
- Have a minimum GPA of at least 3.0 in the primary field of study
- Submit the following:
- Official transcripts of previously completed undergraduate and graduate course work
- Scores from the Graduate Record Exam (GRE)
- Two professional recommendations
- Complete a graduate application.
Applicants whose native language is not English must submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum score of 600 (paper-based) or 100 (Internet-based) is required.
