Bachelor's Degree in Statistics and Business
The growing demand for professionals with quantitative skills has encouraged the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid to design a study plan which combines subjects from Statistics with typical knowledge from Business Administration, to obtain a degree which is applied, modern and competitive and, above all, which offers attractive job opportunities for all graduates. We have designed a degree which will appeal greatly both to future graduates and potential employers, given the importance in the Madrid Region and in general throughout the country of banking and finance, insurance and business consulting firms- all of which are the natural employment areas for our graduates.
In designing the study plan for the degree in Statistics and Business, we have sought to combine knowledge from the two principal areas of the degree: Statistics and Business, to achieve our aim of creating a qualification with a clear business focus and an applied nature. Students also receive training in computing which ensures that techniques and methodologies taught in the degree are of the latest kind. Finally, there is a careful approach to mathematical training, which is essential for understanding the different tools and techniques included in these studies. This degree is highly regarded by the Department of Statistics. Faculty will be drawn from the university and private sector which will ensure the application of the theoretical analysis techniques. Group work is encouraged and, above all, students will become familiar with the aspects of computing and data processing using the most advanced software. This is all made possible because of the small group numbers which helps to foster a very close student- teacher relationship.
