Dual Bachelor in International Studies and Economics
The double degree in International Studies and Economics has been designed for students seeking a solid education for pursuing international careers in the different areas of the economy, both in the public and in the private sector, and international organizations. The double degree aims at educating young professionals capable of comprehending and analyzing in depth a complex world in constant change. Both degrees will provide students with the necessary practical skills and tools to inquire and improve the world today and into the future. At the same time, it works at equipping them with abilities that are adaptable to changing environments and scenarios, as well as fostering self-dependence, critical thought and promoting analytical and communication skills.
The Study program is designed to provide tools which can be used to both analyse economic reality and provide proposals for change and reform. Students are taught to ask questions, to gather relevant information, analyse it clearly and offer solutions, indicating the points in favour and against a particular private or public policy. Basic training in Economics is complemented with specialization from a choice of subjects depending on the student’s preferences. A group of compulsory subjects and electives will contribute to the formation of professionals in modern economic analysis. Graduates will be able to analyse the interaction of individual economic agents and how institutions and incentives impact on their performance.
