Get a Jump Start into the Media and Communication Industry
This Master in Media Management programme gives the chance to study fundamental aspects how media companies operate and to deepen the understanding of the managerial activities of such companies (economical structures, politics of the field, research, creation and building of products and services, legal management, etc,).
The study programme involves also an analysis of the production and diffusion processes of editorial content of different kinds: newspapers, books, TV and radio programs, films, online contents.
The goal of the Master is to train professionals who, based on the acquired knowledge about the characteristics of the media, can fulfill project, coordination, and control tasks of production and distribution processes within publishing, broadcasting, audiovisual and electronic companies.
This program is open to all students who obtained a Bachelor degree at an acknowledged university in communication, human and social sciences.
Students who come from a university of Applied sciences can be admitted in the Master with an additional study plan that can range between 30 and 60 ECTS
Tuition & fees
The semester fees are CHF 4,000. For candidates resident in Switzerland, Lichtenstein and Campione d'Italia at the time of the final high school exam (maturità), the semester fee is CHF 2,000.
For the academic year 2018/2019, the Foundation for the Lugano Faculties of the Università della Svizzera italiana will award a total of 60 one-off study grants of the amount of CHF 4'000 each. The merit-based grants are given to the students admitted to the first year of a USI Master programme starting in September 2018.
