Master of Computer Science: Data Science
The Master’s programme in Computer Science builds on the basic skills acquired during a Bachelor’s degree. Via theoretical and practical experience with methods, techniques and tools, a strong scientific background is built up. This allows graduates from the programme to become true innovators, both in industry and in academia (in a PhD).
Engineering Students are integrated in leading research teams while they work on their master dissertation and research internships. Direct interaction with professors, PhD students and other staff members of the faculty enhances their research competences.
Graduates can witness the development of new technological breakthroughs, even contribute to them, and adopt them before they are widely known. Our programme emphasises deep knowledge and flexibility. As a result, our graduates are in high demand, both in industry and in academia.
Applicants should hold an academic Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
All bachelor degrees in the field of Science or Applied Sciences with a strong focus on computer science will be considered (e.g. Information Sciences, Computer Engineering). The programme is taught in English.
Candidates with a prior degree from outside the Flemish community are required to demonstrate their proficiency in English.
