The Bachelor of Public Relations at the University of Canberra in Australia is an education programme which provides students with the essential, work-ready skills required for a career in the growing and dynamic field of public relations.
UC's 6-semester Bachelor of Public Relations teaches students the techniques required for contemporary public relations practice through experience working in a professional internship as well as understanding the communication principles which form the foundation of public relations. Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Public Relations develop writing and professional practice skills as well as the analytical abilities for project planning, problem-solving, research, and strategy development. They also gain a firm grasp of the legal context of public relations, and the required ethical practice of the industry.
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Public Relations, graduates are well-prepared to launch successful careers in the field of consultancies, non-profits, government agencies, and businesses in a public relations capacity, and can take management, leadership, or strategy roles within a few years of graduation from this education programme.
