Study Deafblindness Communication
The Masters in Pedagogic: Communication and Congenital Deafblindness at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands is an education in analysing communication in complex situations, and then applying this knowledge to research and intervention. This 1-year Masters in Pedagogic: Communication and Congenital Deafblindness is based on the work done by the Dbl ECN group, which aims to develop knowledge using recent research and explorative interventions in congenital deafblindness. The research done within this education programme contributes to the important development of an expertise in this field, and aims to improve intentional communication in practice.
Upon completion of the Masters in Pedagogic: Communication and Congenital Deafblindness, graduates have the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain a position in the field of deafblindness education or other related fields such as complex disabilities. Graduates are also well-prepared to pursue a consultancy position in education or for further research opportunities.
Admissions requirements for the Masters in Pedagogic: Communication and Congenital Deafblindness at the University of Groningen are:
- Bachelor degree in Educational Sciences or a related field
- proficiency in English, demonstrated by the following minimum test scores: TOEFL: 580/92 or IELTS: 6.5
- Sufficient knowledge of methodology
