Study Human-Machine Communication
The MSc in Human-Machine Communication at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands is designed to provide participants with insights into human cognition and how to use this knowledge in applied settings, for example, speech technology, tutoring systems and human-robot and human-computer interaction.
Focusing on Cognitive Science and its applications, Groningen's 2-year MSc in Human-Machine Communication teaches students how to improve communication between humans and advanced computer systems. Students enrolled in this education programme may choose one of the following specialisations:
- Cognitive Engineering
- Cognitive Modelling
- Computational Cognitive Neuroscience
- Cognitive Language Modelling
Upon completion of the MSc in Human-Machine Communication, graduates can look forward to working in companies where computer software and new media applications are made, in industrial research & development departments, in usability labs and in telecommunication companies. MSc in Human-Machine Communication graduates can also choose to work as researches in universities.
The admission requirements for the MSc in Human-Machine Communication are:
- Bachelor degree in Artificial Intelligence, Psychology or relevant degree including specific subjects
- English proficiency, demonstrated by the following minimum test scores: TOEFL 580/237/92 or IELTS 6.5
