Study Mathematics at Groningen
The MSc in Mathematics at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands is designed to give participants the required mathematical skills needed in order to conduct a professional career as researchers.
Groningen's 2-year MSc in Mathematics offers students a choice between one of the following specialisations:
- Algebra & Geometry
- Statistics & Probability
- Dynamical Systems & Analysis
Students enrolled in this MSc in Mathematics learn how to solve a problem using modelling and abstraction. Students are required to conduct a large research project in their 2nd year, providing the opportunity to specialise further in their selected area.
Upon completion of the MSc in Mathematics, graduates are able to think in a logical, systematic and problem-oriented way. MSc in Mathematics graduates can go on to work in banks and insurance companies, in the consultancy branch and in research and development departments of large companies.
The admission requirements for the MSc in Mathematics at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics
- English proficiency, demonstrated by one of the following minimum test scores: TOEFL 580/237/92 or IELTS 6.5
