The Laurea Magistralis (Master of Science) program in Computer Engineering is offered by the University of Pavia School of Engineering. The course offers three basic curricula: Industrial Automation, Services Engineering and Computer Science and Multimedia.
The Computer Engineering syllabus focuses on applied mathematics, economics, management and curriculum-specific subjects:
- The Industrial Automation curriculum includes modules on Automation and Advanced Control Systems, Process Control and Control of Robotic Systems and Embedded and Real-time systems.
- The Computer Science and Multimedia syllabus includes courses on Multiprocessor Architectures, Computer Networks, Performance Evaluation, Multimedia Systems and Technologies, Computer Vision and Human Computer Interaction
- The Services Engineering curriculum includes the study of Business Analysis, Design of Enterprise Systems, Service and WEB Systems Design.
Many modules include lab activities which allow students to carry out experiments relating to topics covered in class. The University’s dedicated teaching labs are equipped with modern electronic instruments and computers and state-of-the-art software tools.
Computer Engineering students will not only improve their technical and scientific skills but also develop the ability to operate at an international level. Upon graduation, students will have already been interacting with foreign companies for their graduation project. Students even have the opportunity to develop their project abroad by with the support of the Erasmus placement programme.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, recognised by the Italian government, in the following or similar subject areas: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or Electronics. In some cases, candidates must provide a legalized translation of Degree certificates, this can be carried out by an Italian Consulate.
