The Bachelor of Health (Biomedical Science) at University of Southern Queensland is an education programme which aims to provide students with an in-depth knowledge in biomedical health sciences.
USQ's Bachelor of Health (Biomedical Science) can be completed within 3 years full-time or in up to 8 years part-time, and is available at the Fraser Coast and Toowoomba campuses and also by distance education. Students gain skills in providing scientific research and support for medicine and related industries, such as pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies. These skills are necessary in pursuing a career in pathology services, public health laboratories, medical, research, diagnostic and pharmaceutical industries.
The diversity offered within this Bachelor of Health (Biomedical Science) allows graduates to seek placement in various professional health programes such as dentistry, pharmacy, medicine, optometry, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy, whether as research or medical scientists, or medical technicians.
Admission requirements for the Bachelor of Health (Biomedical Science) at University of Southern Queensland are:
- completion of the Queensland Senior School Certificate (Year 12) or equivalent
English (four semesters Sound Achievement) or equivalent. Internationalapplicants must have met the University's English language requirements or have completed the University's ELICOS/EAP
Study in one of Biological Science, Chemistry, Physics or Multi-strandScience or equivalent
