Doctor of Medicine - University of Sydney
Through this four-year Doctor of Medicine program, students will have an opportunity to undertake both research at world-renown institutes and clinical experience and placements at leading hospitals throughout Europe, Africa, North America and Asia. Students will be exposed to current best medical education practice, high teach-to-student ratios and extensive scholarship support. Throughout the program, students will relate everything they learn to four broad themes:
- Basic and Clinical Sciences
- Patient and Doctor
- Population Medicine
- Personal and Professional Development
Year 1 & 2
Delivered primarily on the main Camperdown campus, the first two years of this degree will cover basic science and clinical perspectives, focusing on scientific foundations of clinical reasoning and clinical practice.'
Year 3 & 4
During the last two years of the degree, students will be based in their clinical school. Clinical learning occurs at various sites (hospitals and community, metropolitan, urban and rural). This stage will focus on all major aspects of clinical medicine.

Degree & diploma
Upon completion of this program, students will graduate as a medical practitioner and will be awarded a Doctor of Medicine from University of Sydney.
