The master in Human Language Technology and Interfaces (HLTI) offered by the University of Trento and ITC-IRST aims at providing skills in the basic theories, techniques, and applications of this Human Language Technology through courses taught by internationally recognized researchers from the university, research centers and supporting industry partners.
Human language technology is concerned with dealing with the huge amounts of textual information currently available e.g., in the scientific literature or through the Web, and gives people the possibility of using speech and/or natural language to access a variety of automated services such as airline reservation systems or voicemail. Service and technology providers are therefore strong supporters of this technology.
Students enrolled in the Human Language Technology and Interfaces masters will gain in depth knowledge from these graduate courses, and from substantial practical projects carried out in research and industry labs.

Human Language Technology and Interfaces is available to students with a background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar disciplines. Students with other background (Physics or Mathematics) may also apply, subject to approval.
TOEFL grades requirements: 600 written, 200 computer (equivalent certificates will be considered).
Students from other disciplines but with a solid mathematical and/or computational background will also be considered.
