Program description

MBA Master of Business Administration WBSMBA Master of Business Administration

The WBS MBA education programme has been a premier choice of students and employers for over 40 years.  This Masters in Business Administration is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), which recognises a mere 250 business schools worldwide, and is also recognised by the Council for Higher Education (CHE). WBS is the only business school in Africa to have been admitted to the Partnership in International Management (PIM), a student exchange programme for international study at over 54 leading business schools around the world.

The WBS MBA is designed to provide students with a competitive edge in the job market and to give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to even embark upon their own business ventures.

The education curriculum of this Masters in Business Administration contains courses such as international business, ethics, sustainability and corporate governance and leadership. Full time and part time class attendance is available.  A part-time Saturday MBA is available to allow part-time students more flexibility with their lectures.

A part of the reason one studies towards an MBA degree is to gain an international perspective on business and the WBS MBA programme addresses this need by providing an international study tour elective as well as having the most extensive Student Exchange Programme in Africa through a network of over fifty prestigious business schools in the world.

WBS' MBA also offers a dedicated career management process for MBA graduates.  An exciting aspect of the WBS MBA is the annual Graduate Recruitment Programme, where employees are invited to present their company profiles and career opportunities to WBS students.

To ensure its MBA remains relevant, rigorous and intellectually demanding, Wits Business School will enhance its Master of Business Administration by introducing challenge based learning to its curriculum next year.
