Maastricht Conservatorium is an internationally oriented academy of music. You can choose from two programs:
- Classical Music
The Conservatorium is committed to training gifted and talented young students to achieve success as practicing professionals. All the lecturers are professional musicians. They are committed to firing the imagination and creativity of prospective musicians through a mixture of music classes, projects, master classes, workshops and theme days. This provides our students with countless opportunities to become versatile, creative and all-round musicians, capable of developing their own musical ideas and styles.
The four-year bachelor's program consists of a core curriculum, choice of a specialization beyond the core curriculum (major), and a free elective (minor). In the first two years, the core curriculum is comprised of a mixture of music theory, basic repertoire, auditory/solfège, music history and classes related to your main degree subject, such as chamber music and orchestral training. These classes are provided by guest lecturers from the Netherlands and abroad.
